Water Management

Issues of water policy and water management continue to dominate both public and governmental discussions nationwide. In some regions the issues revolve around water as a diminishing resource whereas other regions are focused on water control management. Regardless, whether in excess or deficit, obtaining information and tools for properly managing this resource throughout the winemaking process is crucial. This session will provide winemakers with an overview of water resource issues facing the industry today, discuss practical solutions for managing this resource through both design and process engineering considerations within the winery, and will highlight the resource management experiences from winemakers from across the country.
